Hello
My wife Lisa Caporizzo was an absolutely amazing animal advocate. She had the most compassion of anybody that I’ve ever met and her heart was always “To help those that need our help the most.” Sadly, Lisa’s life was cut short by cancer. It was sudden and so heartbreaking. I promised her that I would continue helping pets as much as possible, and of course care for our senior and hospice pets for the rest of their lives. This fund allows me and all of you to help continue her mission of making a difference. Lisa was always happiest when we brought a new pet into our home that we knew had absolutely no chance of being adopted but found their way to us.
Our Story
Our lives were enriched and in a lot of ways, when you have a senior pet or a pet with special needs, you actually become closer to them. They depend on you so much every single day for life. In our home, we always adopted and fostered senior pets, those with disabilities, and many times those that were in hospice. It didn’t matter to us whether we had them for one year or five years, they were part of our family and made us so much happier. Just looking into their eyes and seeing their happiness was always the most important thing. It was always our goal to give them the best possible life, no matter how long or how short. It didn’t matter. It was all about quality of life and being loved right to the end. We always said it had nothing to do with the amount of time you have them, but it had everything to do with the love you were able to give them and they were able to give you back. This nonprofit has been set up to help pets at shelters and rescues that need that little boost to get them seen and hopefully adopted into a loving home. I know we can’t save all of them, but we will do our best to help as many as possible. There is an application process that will be handled quickly. This will enable us to see the pets that need help and be sure a financial gift can be sent to give them that chance at adoption. Of course, if you can’t adopt one of these special pets, you can always support our mission by making a donation. This will help keep Lisa Cap’s Legacy going for many years and hopefully help hundreds of pets that may never have a chance to know what a loving home is all about.
